We don’t want your data.
We never have.

Nedaa is a worship app, not a data product. The fastest way to explain our privacy policy is to list everything we don’t do. There is no fine print here, because there is no fine print.

00

No accounts

No sign-up. No email. No password. The app opens and works.

00

No tracking

No advertising SDKs, no analytics ad networks, no third-party fingerprinting.

00 GB

No cloud sync

Your settings, custom Athkar, and Qada counts live on your phone — and stay there.

In plain language

What we collect, and what we don’t.

What Nedaa does
  • Requests low-accuracy location to compute your prayer times — only if you grant it.
  • Stores your settings, custom Athkar, and Qada counts locally, on your device.
  • Schedules notifications and the Fajr alarm via the operating system. The OS plays them.
  • Fetches a year of prayer times on first launch. Works offline otherwise — except when you’re browsing the Quran.
  • The only exception is crash data: automatic reports from your app store (like any app), details via Sentry if you enabled it, and in-app logs if you sent them to support.
What Nedaa does not
  • No advertising. No ad SDKs. No revenue from showing you anything.
  • No accounts, sign-in, or email capture. We literally don’t know who you are.
  • No cloud sync, no server-side profile, no “Nedaa account” of any kind.
  • No third-party analytics that profile, segment, or fingerprint individuals.
  • No location data ever leaves your device. We don’t need it; we don’t want it.
Permissions, explained

Every permission, why we ask, and what happens if you say no.

Permission Why If you say no
Location (low accuracy) Compute your local prayer times. Set a city manually; everything else still works.
Notifications Athan, pre-prayer warnings, and Iqama reminders. No reminders. The app still shows times on the home screen.
Alarms (iOS AlarmKit) A real Fajr alarm — louder than a notification. You’ll get a regular notification instead.
Compass / heading sensor Point to the Qibla. Qibla shows the bearing; you align it yourself.
Storage (custom Athan) Read the audio file you chose to play as Athan. The default Athan plays.
01

Your rights

There’s nothing for us to delete — we never collected anything. If you want your data gone, just delete the app. For any other privacy question, email us; we reply within five working days.

02

Children

Nedaa is suitable for any age. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone — adult or child.

03

Changes

If we change anything material, we’ll show a one-time, dismissible notice in the app — never a wall of text you have to accept to continue praying.
